8 January

Busy Bees Parent and Toddler Group today. Tidying up in the pulpit afterwards and began to think again about the big King James Bible that we have in church. It comes with a commentary from Henry Cooke, a famous Presbyterian preacher from the 19th Century. I'm thinking of copying a book or two's worth of commentary and seeing if it will OCR well. Cooke is an interesting (although divisive) figure and his commentary on different Biblical passages gives us an insight into the mindset of a 19th champion of conservative religious values. It's interesting to note though that what we consider conservative and what Cooke considered conservative sometimes differs widely.

Rhona looks really mischievous in this one. I wonder if that is where James gets some of his cool facial expressions?
